British on Mount Gerizim Nothing changed on the peak of Gerizim Mountain since 1938 (as shown here the military point of the British Army) and before, when in the 12th century Saladin used the peak as a military and watchpoint to protect the main roads down in the valley of Morah. Today, the Israel Defense Forces are doing the same job.
